For the first time this year the weather was sufficiently balmy, that is balmy for Scotland in March, to allow me to sit out for a while in the garden, almost being warmed by pale sunlight penetrating the clouds, while admiring my Jamaican neighbour's Jamaican flag flapping gently in a Scottish breeze, while I thought how nice it would be to be on a warm Jamaican beach instead; but we must make do with what we have, such as sitting warmed by a thick jacket, with hands in pockets and a woolly hat atop a bald head.
